Functional
This type of brace is very common to athletes who have undergone knee injuries. This is used for patella dislocation. Functional brace for knee has also marked in the history that it works out well with Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury or commonly known as ACL. These injuries both cause swelling and intense pain with the worst scenario of not moving your knees anymore. A functional brace is being recommended in lieu of a knee surgery.
Rehabilitative brace is one of the post operative braces for knees. It is very significant for healing process and from protecting a knee for further injuries. This type of brace is used after a knee surgery and after other injuries involving ones knees like ACL, PCL, MCL or meniscal injuries.
